LinkedIn have rolled out two new additions to its Company Pages section: Targeted Status Updates and Follower Insights Together these two new products offer a very refined way to target communications and also understand the effectiveness / relevance of your messages to your audience.
Targeted Status Updates are a very powerful feature and should have a big impact on LinkedIn users. The feature enables control per each message to filter by industry, seniority, job function, company size, non-company employees, and geography. Useful statistics are available highlighting the number of followers in the targeted group and how many impression it received, as well as clicks, shares and the percentage of engagement. Those that are familiar with Facebook insights will immediately feel familiar with this.
